Pathways to Hope Conference

Pathways to Hope is back! And it's more than a conference. It's a gathering; a healing space to be seen, heard, and restored. Join us for the 2nd Annual Pathways to Hope Conference, where culture, care, and community come together to uplift mental wellness in Black communities.

In partnership with Harris-Stowe State University and Bridges to Care & Recovery, this experience brings together students, educators, professionals, families, and community members—all committed to healing, growth, and showing up for ourselves and each other.

At its core, HOPE means Healing Our People Every Day — and every conversation, resource, and act of care moves us closer to that mission.

Seeking Proposals for Breakout Sessions!

We are currently seeking dynamic, engaging proposals for breakout sessions and speakers that align with this year’s theme of hope, healing, and resilience. We especially welcome presentations that are culturally responsive, community-informed, and rooted in lived experience.

Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):

  • Breaking Cycles of Family Trauma
Exploring intergenerational healing, awareness, and tools to create new paths forward.
  • Mind, Body, and Healing
Holistic approaches that connect physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
  • Black Joy, Black Hope: Cultivating Wellness Beyond Survival
Centering joy, celebration, and thriving—not just surviving—in Black communities.
  • Hope After Loss: Grief, Suicide Loss, and Community Healing
Compassionate spaces and strategies for navigating grief and rebuilding hope.
  • Resilience in Action: Stories of Healing and Hope
Motivational sessions that inspire through lived experience and personal growth.
  • Integrating Faith and Mental Health
Bridging spiritual practices and mental wellness in meaningful, inclusive ways.
  • Mental Health for Caregivers, Advocates, and Leaders
Supporting those who support others—preventing burnout and fostering sustainability.
  • Black Men Redefining Strength and Mental Wellness
Challenging stigma and creating space for vulnerability, healing, and empowerment.
We encourage proposals that:
  • Include interactive or engaging elements
  • Highlight practical tools and takeaways
  • Reflect diverse perspectives and lived experiences
  • Promote equity, inclusion, and community connection
Whether you are a clinician, community leader, advocate, or someone with lived experience, your voice matters. Together, we can create pathways to hope for all.
