NAMI St. Louis Annual Gala
The Annual Gala celebrates leaders and champions in our community, partnering together to build and enhance sustainable recovery-oriented systems and services that improve lives for families and individuals living with mental illness. This event provides direct funding for family and community education programs that lead to positive life changes and an increase in empowerment for participants, allowing them to more effectively assist and support their loved one with mental illness in their journey toward recovery. The Annual Gala is attended by mental health service providers, hospital partners, educators, corporate sponsors, and ambassadors.
The Goodman Legacy Award is given to a mental health professional that has made an outstanding contribution to mental health. Mortimer Goodman, a social worker whose daughter had a mental illness, was a NAMI St. Louis charter board member and vice president at the time of his death on August 18, 1981. In March of the following year, the board created this annual award in his name, honoring his legacy of championing for mental health and improving lives in our community.
Thank You To Everyone Who Made This Event in 2019 Such A Huge Success!
